<span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:12px;color:#333333;font-family:Tahoma;">LGF means light guide film. Our engineers design many liguide dots on the LGF and these dots can guide the light from the side firing LEDs to backlight buttons, symbols to get uniform backlight result. In order to prevent the light bleeding also need design the light blocking layers. For LTMS0462 we only used very small quantity LEDs then can get very uniform backlighting result. The buttons are rim embossed with tactile metal domes which can givethe end user a very nice tactile feeling when they press the buttons. The circuit layer is the single copper flex FPC which also gives the keypad a very reliability capability. Connector is 1.0mm pitch ZIF. The fingers are gold plating.</span></span>

LGF itself is not a light source. It couldn't produce the light. It still need the LEDs assembled on the circuit layer to produce the light source. But LGF can guide the light from the LEDs to top overlay evenly. For this backlighting keypad, it can save the LEDs quantity and it also can get a even backlighting effect with less LEDs. But by this way the difficulty is adjusting the refraction dots on the LGF layer. Adjust the direction of dots, density, position etc. And its tool fees is higher. </span>
