  What is the main difference between an embroidered and woven patch?
Woven labels are all threads woven together on a loom. Embroidered patches are threads embroidered onto a substrate, most typically cotton canvas with an embroidery machine. Then, how do they differ and which one is best for my brand?
Well, if your artwork has fine details such as intricate artwork, small texts, or gradation, we definitely recommend a woven patch over embroidered patch. Embroidery does not allow for the same amount of detail as woven apparel labels do, since the thread is much thicker and it's embroidered onto a stiff substrate.
If you need a patch that looks similar to a military/scout patch or need some depth, we recommend an embroidered patch. Crude stitches are visible that create a rugged, bulky appearance.
